Senior Vice President and CFO

Jim Crofton has been CFO of Sarnoff since joining the company in 1999. His current responsibilities include the Finance, Business Planning and Analysis, Accounting, IT, Purchasing and Quality functions.

During his tenure at Sarnoff, Mr. Crofton has also overseen the legal, contracts and facilities departments. He was actively involved in a major transaction involving the sale of certain Sarnoff real estate, and participated in the structuring of a number of new ventures and business relationships with major corporations.

Prior to joining Sarnoff, Mr. Crofton held several important financial management positions in the technology sector, including serving as CFO of EA Industries. He achieved success in a number of significant management positions at Unisys Corporation, including VP of Finance for the Information Services Division, Computer Systems Group, and Pacific-Asia-Americas Division, and Vice President, Marketing for the Pacific-Asia-Americas Division. Mr. Crofton also served as Vice President, Finance for the Broadband Group of Scientific-Atlanta.
 
Mr. Crofton serves as a Board member and Audit Committee Chair for Columbia Labs, Inc.—a NASDAQ-traded specialty pharmaceutical company. He holds a B.S. in mathematics from Michigan State University, and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Michigan.
