Sarnoff Corporation's Iris-On-The-Move™ Joins Honeywell in Airport of the Future Exhibit

Iris-On-The-Move Provides Accurate, Non-invasive Biometric ID with Moving Subjects

PRINCETON, NJ – April 24, 2006 – Sarnoff Corporation joined
Honeywell International Inc., today at the American Association of
Airport Executives’ 78th Annual AAAE Conference and Exhibition in San
Diego, CA., to demonstrate the Iris-On-The-Move (IOM) technology in a
simulated airport security environment.

IOM is the world’s only standoff biometric identity verification
system that provides powerful, accurate and reliable iris recognition
of a person in motion.

"The Iris on the Move system is a breakthrough in this field, said
Sarnoff’s Vince Endres, vice president, portfolio and corporate
development. The process is non-invasive and hygienic, and it is faster
and more convenient than any other biometric identity verification
system on the market."

Until now, iris recognition technology has been hampered by the
cumbersome necessity to position a subject in front of the iris scanner
and line up the eye properly for identification. IOM overcomes static
subject positioning and motion constraints during collection by
scanning the subject’s iris while they are in motion. IOM accurately
verifies identities at rates of 20 people per minute, an equivalent to
the standard walking pace far faster than any other biometric device.
IOM works even if the subject is wearing glasses, sunglasses and
contact lenses.

Key features of IOM include:

Because subjects do not have to stop, remove glasses and gloves, or
free their hands in order to verify their identity, IOM is extremely
effective for perimeter and access control, and is currently in use in
several government facilities and private corporations.

Iris recognition has significant advantages over other biometric and
biographic identification methods. It has an extremely low false match
rate because the pattern of the iris is unique to its owner and
remarkably stable over an individual’s lifetime.
