Vice President, Corporate Business Development
John A. “Skip” Richardson joined Sarnoff as Vice President, Corporate Business Development in 2007. In this position, Mr. Richardson is responsible for managing and growing Sarnoff’s business-to-business as well as business-to-government contracts.
Mr. Richardson joined Sarnoff from Digimarc, a leading supplier of secure identity and media management, where he served as Vice President for International Programs. In this role, Mr. Richardson was responsible for overseeing product, sales, service and manufacturing activities for international programs. Under his direction, Digimarc applied a new program focus that led to increased profitability.
Prior to Digimarc, Mr. Richardson achieved repeated success at industry leading corporations in several senior management positions. As Director of Business Development at IBM, he established strategic alliances in several different areas and represented strategic software development outsourcing. He served as CEO at Disa, Inc., an Internet-based applications service provider, and held Vice Presidential positions at Halliburton B&R Services, a subsidiary of Halliburton Corporation, and Honeywell, formerly, AlliedSignal Aerospace/Textron Lycoming.
Mr. Richardson holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Northrop University and an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix with additional post graduate studies at Harvard Business School and the Wharton School of Business. He served in the United States Air Force for four years during the Vietnam era.
