Sarnoff’s wafer foundry is a versatile source of silicon processing with a record of consistent success in development and implementation. Our familiarity with a broad range of technologies—from IC design and processing to assembly and environmental testing—enables our clients to choose precisely the right approach for their products. 

For over 30 years, Sarnoff’s wafer foundry has offered silicon processing for a diverse array of technologies. We have been a certified QML manufacturer for integrated circuits produced by the Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM [1]) program since 1996 and all GEM microcircuits are delivered in compliance with the requirements of MIL-PRF-38535. This includes complete traceability, total compliance with customer procurement requirements, and delivery with a certificate of conformance.

In 2007 the DoD Trusted Access Program Office (TAPO) accredited Sarnoff’s wafer foundry as a Department of Defense (DoD) Category 1 Trusted Foundry.  With this endorsement, Sarnoff is able to offer the DoD and Government agencies a secure on-shore, QML-certified wafer foundry for military electronics. Additionally, the wafer foundry enables technical and commercial self-sufficiency, with capabilities from design to manufacturing that can all be performed in-house.
