What is your focus at Sarnoff?

I am currently managing programs. My focus is on providing the client results that meet and hopefully exceed expectations for quality and schedule. My focus for Sarnoff is to accomplish the client delivery within budget, make efficient use of Sarnoff labor resources, and follow up on client requests for proposals for additional work.

Describe a typical day for you at Sarnoff.

My days are driven by program schedules. After consulting the schedules, I typically do a walk around to collect information form Sarnoff developers and managers, then I spend time on the phone with clients. In addition there are the occasional progress reports and proposals that are written.

What experience did you have prior to joining Sarnoff?

I joined Sarnoff straight out of school.

What is your background in academics?

BS in Physics form RPI

MA, MS, PhD in Device Physics from Princeton

Why did you choose Sarnoff?

When I joined in 1968, the CMOS circuits and liquid crystal displays had just been invented at Sarnoff. These plus other world leading advances in solid-state lasers, materials and computers were the areas that attracted me.

What is your proudest professional achievement?

Over the course of several years I invented a technology and built an intellectual property portfolio to support it. I then presented the technology and business case for it to the top companies in the world. The positive response from the experts within these companies was my proudest professional achievement.
