Distributed Aperture Systems

Sarnoff’s embedded vision solutions offer a broad range of advanced capabilities for the defense and security industries. Our Distributed Aperture Systems (DAS) use Sarnoff’s proprietary vision processing technology to provide enhanced situational awareness in virtually any circumstance or condition.

Sarnoff’s proven vision capabilities provide situational awareness, from moving target indicators to 360-degree vision of surrounding areas from within enclosed vehicles. Image fusion allows optimal detection and monitoring, in day or night conditions. Vision and navigation are also enhanced, with capabilities for obstacle avoidance, hemispherical vehicle vision, and range estimation for autonomous driving. Sarnoff also offers advanced threat detection, with sensors that are resilient to environmental noise and clutter.

These capabilities lend themselves to real-world applications that save lives and facilitate the missions and objectives of our troops. Real-time vision processing systems utilizing Sarnoff technology allow several users to view a common 360-degree view of an area from inside a vehicle. Low-visibility fusion allows users to view their surroundings at any time, even in nighttime or poor conditions. Sarnoff’s advanced vision capabilities enable soldiers to detect moving threats.
